TOM HANKS is amazed by how much money he's saving after getting rid of his gas-guzzling motor.
The OSCAR-winner is saving dollars as California gas prices soar because he no longer has a car that relies solely on petrol.
He says, "My main automobile is either my hybrid or my all-electric car.
"I can fill up my car, drive over 300 miles on a tank of gas and only burn about seven gallons of gas that cost me about $16 (GBP8.90) to fill up."
