STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE is being axed by American network UPN after the latest incarnation of the cult sci-fi show failed to win over viewers and critics.
Enterprise - a prequel to THE NEXT GENERATION, DEEP SPACE NINE and VOYAGER - was first broadcast in September 2001 with SCOTT BAKULA starring as the spaceship's captain JONATHAN ARCHER.
Enterprise will be aired for the last time in the US on 13 May (05) after four seasons and 98 episodes.
