ELTON JOHN will perform on the WORLD IDOL finale on New Year's Day (01JAN04).
The rocker missed out on judging an AMERICAN IDOL final earlier this year (03), but was keen to perform on the global challenge, which will be aired around the world on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
The show will feature 11 winners of global IDOL TV shows, including Britain's WILL YOUNG and America's KELLY CLARKSON, battling against each other to become the first international Idol star.
