RUNAWAY BRIDE - ELIZONDO CONSIDERED QUITTING ACTING

RUNAWAY BRIDE star HECTOR ELIZONDO is stunned at his renewed acting success - because he considered quitting the profession just two years ago.

The 67-year-old New York native admits he had his mind made up to step away from the cameras.

He says, "I thought maybe it was time to segue into doing other things in this industry rather than being in front of the cameras, for the kid to play a different position on the field."

But just as Elizondo was decided on moving on, he was asked to reprise his role in the PRINCESS DIARIES sequel - and the offered his upcoming show CENTURY CITY.

He adds, "If you want to make God laugh, make plans. I guess she's having a great chuckle on me."
