ELIJAH WOOD - ELIJAH UPSETS CASTMATES BY SHOWING OFF HIS TATTOO

ELIJAH WOOD has upset his LORD OF THE RINGS co-stars by showing off his secret tattoo on TV.

The actor flashed the marking when he appeared on American showbiz news show ACCESS HOLLYWOOD. The tattoo, which reads 'nine' in Rings author JRR TOLKIEN's invented language of Elvish, mirrors the ones on the hips of the other eight actors who made up the 'Fellowship of the Ring' in the film trilogy.

And his action has annoyed castmates like BILLY BOYD, who plays a fellow Hobbit, and Elf actor ORLANDO BLOOM.

Boyd fumes, "We made a rule that we'd never show the tattoo on camera."

Bloom adds, "He shouldn't have done that. I guess it just slipped his mind."
