MTV - ED LOVER ARRESTED AFTER CLUB BRAWL

Hip-hop celebrity ED LOVER has turned himself in to New York City police after being charged with assault following a nightclub fight.

The radio DJ and host of hit MTV show YO! MTV RAPS stands accused of hitting a woman in the scuffle, which took place at New York's Duvet club last weekend (11DEC05).

Lover, real name JAMES ROBERTS, was arrested on Thursday (15DEC05) and charged with two counts of third-degree assault, one count of attempted assault and one count of second-degree harassment following the incident.

Lover was arraigned and released on $1,000 (GBP555) bail. He is due in court in March (06).
