HILARY DUFF - DUFF STEERS CLEAR OF HOLLYWOOD PARTY SCENE

Pop star HILARY DUFF is refusing to be drawn into the hard partying Hollywood circuit, preferring instead to spend her spare time with her "normal" friends.

Although the LIZZY McGUIRE MOVIE actress admits to being on good terms with fellow teen stars like FRANKIE MUNIZ and MARY-KATE and ASHLEY OLSEN at celebrity events, she would never choose them over her real pals.

She says, "I'm not really part of that whole scene but I know a lot of teenagers that are in the business, like Frankie Muniz and the Olsen twins - we're always nice to each other.

"At events, we'll hang out together cause we're the only people who aren't grown up! But in my free time, I hang out with my friends who are normal - they're not celebs!"
