X-FILES star DAVID DUCHOVNY is to star with TONI COLLETTE in new comedy CONNIE AND CARLA - the next film for MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING writer/star NIA VARDALOS.
The film, about two working class women who are forced to go undercover in Los Angeles as drag queens, is to be directed by MICHAEL LEMBECK and is described as "SOME LIKE IT HOT meets TOOTSIE".
Duchovny plays JEFF, who, while searching for his drag-queen brother in West Hollywood, falls for Vardalos' character.
Connie And Carla is to begin shooting in May 2003.
