DAVID DUCHOVNY - DUCHOVNY + LEONI LOSE BUILDING BATTLE

Hollywood couple DAVID DUCHOVNY and TEA LEONI have lost their bid to stop developers building a apartment block which will tower over their Malibu, California home.

The couple had hoped to block the multi-million dollar complex from being built, citing ecological and geographical damage.

Leoni even appeared before the Malibu Planning Commission last week (21FEB06) in a bid to sweet talk them into saying no to the proposed development, but the building application was approved.

Entertainment news website TMZ.com suggests Duchovny and Leoni also had privacy concerns about the new building.

A planning commission source tells the site, "Tia told planning officials that David loves to swim and shower naked in their backyard."
