MINNIE DRIVER - DRIVER'S HOLLYWOOD SPLIT LESSONS FOR DAMON

Falling for MINNIE DRIVER taught MATT DAMON not to fall in love with his co-stars - because the break-up was awful.

The actor announced he'd split from the British actress, who played his lover in GOOD WILL HUNTING, on OPRAH WINFREY's show and immediately became a cad in the eyes of movie fans.

Damon admits he foolishly got caught up in a Hollywood game at the time and it all made him a lot wiser overnight.

He says, "I wouldn't be in that relationship now. Being so excited you're in a movie that you immediately fall in love with your co-star hasn't happened to me since then.

"It's like summer camp. The first year you go - and maybe even the second year - you have a summer romance, but finally it's not that big a deal."
