Actor MICHAEL DOUGLAS passed up the chance to reprise his role in BASIC INSTINCT 2 because he felt he was too old to be naked on the big screen. The WALL STREET star turned down the sequel and decided to let a younger actor investigate murderous CATHERINE TRAMELL, played by SHARON STONE. The 62-year-old star explains, "They came to me a long time ago with a good script, but I thought we did the first one very effectively. "I was not about to show my a*s again at an age when it was not respectable!"
