Hollywood legend DORIS DAY has rubbished rumours she is critically ill and in a wheelchair - insisting she is still spritely enough to tap dance.

The star, who shot to fame in classic musicals such as CALAMITY JANE, dismissed her health fears to gossip site PageSix.

She says, "Yes, I can dance. I still can.

"I just have a cold but I am not sick, nor in a wheelchair."
