Australian pop star JASON DONOVAN is furious BAND AID 20 organisers deemed him not "cool" enough to reprise his contribution to BAND AID II's version of DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS? for the latest rendition.
The TOO MANY BROKEN HEARTS singer - whose career collapsed as he spiralled into a self-destructive, drug-fuelled existence - insists he's regained popularity since starring in a series of London stage shows.
And in response to his rise in status, the '80s singer was confident MIDGE URE and SIR BOB GELDOF would invite him to participate in Band Aid 20's cover of the 20-year-old charity single.
He says, "I was on the 1989 version with KYLIE (MINOGUE) and I am still packing out a theatre daily, and yet I am seen as not cool enough.
"But how many records have some of the muppets on there sold?"
