Former NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK star DONNIE WAHLBERG has shunned suggestions his younger brother MARK helped him get along in Hollywood - even though he helped his music career.
Although Mark initially followed in his brother's successful musical steps, Donnie found himself lagging behind his younger sibling's burgeoning acting career when his own band split.
Whilst Mark has appeared in hit movies including BOOGIE NIGHTS and PLANET OF THE APES, Donnie has had a string of low-profile movies before his current role in the MORGAN FREEMAN blockbuster DREAMCATCHER - and insists his brother has failed to reciprocate his former career help.
He says, "He didn't help me get into anything. I started his music career. Mark was really struggling at the time, getting into a lot of trouble, so I figured I would bring him and give him something to do with his life.
"He's not really capable of helping me as an actor because he's busy worrying about his next job."
