Former MIAMI VICE star DON JOHNSON has emerged from his financial rut, after paying off all the creditors listed on bankruptcy petitions involving him.
As a result, lawyer LEE KUTNER has announced that the actor's companies should be emerging from bankruptcy soon.
Kutner says, "He has obtained new financing."
Los Angeles-based CITY NATIONAL BANK sued Johnson in March (04), seeking to force an auction of his 17 acre ranch near Aspen, Colorado, to recoup $930,000 (GBP489,473) it claimed he owed. The ranch was put up for sale for $21 million (GBP11 million), but Johnson ended up paying the debt in time.
JOAN BOYLES, owner of CARBONDALE CRYSTAL RIVER VALLEY SPAS, one of a number of companies owed cash, says, "He paid his bill and he paid it in full."
Johnson's well-documented grocery bill of $5,740 (GBP3,021) to CLARK'S MARKET, which sued him earlier this year (04) and won, has also been paid, according to court papers filed last week (ends10DEC04) in Pitkin County Court.
