LATEST: PETE DOHERTY's former BABYSHAMBLES bandmate GEMMA CLARKE quit the British group after disagreeing with their management.

Self-confessed drug addict Doherty started Babyshambles last year (04) after he was kicked out of THE LIBERTINES for his turbulent behaviour.

Drummer Clarke walked out on the group on Thursday (27JAN05) and was quickly replaced by former WHITE SPORT sticksman ADAM FICEK.

In a letter to Doherty, Clarke explained she had nothing personal against him, but could not remain working under the current management.

She wrote, "I will not continue to work under the management that you have chosen for the band.

"I love you, the music, PATRICK, DRU and Babyshambles. Please be safe and be careful. You are a great artist and have been a massive inspiration to me.

"Thanks for the experience and for a great time - keep safe and don't forget to call me. Good luck for the future."
