PETE DOHERTY - DOHERTY THROWN OUT OF PUB FOR SMOKING 'SUSPICIOUS' PIPE

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY was thrown out of his local London pub on Sunday (13MAR05) for smoking a "suspicious substance" in a pipe and refusing to pay for his drinks.

The former LIBERTINES star claims he's overcome his drug addictions after spending two weeks in a London rehabilitation centre.

But worker's at the capital's Filthy McNasty's claim they asked him to leave because he refused to tell them what he was smoking in his pipe, and argued with a barmaid over an unpaid bill for his drinks, reports British newspaper the DAILY MIRROR.

A witness says, "Pete didn't seem to be able to pay for his drinks and asked the barmaid to put it on his tab. She politely told him that he doesn't have a tab and he started saying things like, 'Don't you know who I am?'

"Pete complained the staff were ruining his fun when they asked him what he was smoking, and it got to the point where the barmaid had no choice but to ask him to leave.

"He seemed reluctant, but when she threatened to call the police he started to panic and left."
