Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has slammed his former band THE LIBERTINES for being "manufactured".
Doherty, who now fronts BABYSHAMBLES, claims the British group only aspired to recreate the music of US stars THE STROKES.
He says, "Apart from the SEX PISTOLS, The Libertines were probably the most manufactured band ever.
"It was, 'Let's get the best looking people and be as much like The Strokes as possible.'"
