Rapper DMX is expected to quit Def Jam Records to join Sony Music after he completes his 70-day jail sentence at New York City's infamous Rikers Island.
The troubled star, real name EARL SIMMONS, was jailed last month (18NOV05) after violating the terms of his release conditions following a 2004 arrest, but hopes Sony will help him sanitise his image.
The 34-year-old reportedly turned down a deal with 50 CENT's label G-Unit Records, insisting the company wouldn't fit with his new attitude.
