DILLER DREADS DAUGHTER'S REACTION TO TELL-ALL BOOK

NEWS BY ARTIST ALPHABETICALLY

Comedienne PHYLLIS DILLER is anxious about her daughter's reaction to her forthcoming autobiography - which takes an unflinching look at her life.

The 87-year-old funnywoman talks about raising five children alone, beginning her career at nearly 40, poverty, divorce, homelessness and her second husband's alcoholism in her uncompromising book, LIKE A LAMPSHADE IN A WHOREHOUSE: MY LIFE IN COMEDY. And she's certain it will provoke a strong reaction from her family.

Diller tells website PAGESIX.COM, "This was painful to write. It's not just a fun book. I remember every second of what I went through from housewife to comedy star. And I tell the nitty gritty.

" I know one daughter will be upset. One's schizophrenic and doesn't know much about things. She's almost 70. I'm not worried about her. The other, whom I haven't spoken to about this yet, will yell and scream at me as she always does.

"Monday she loves me, Tuesday she hates me. Something's wrong with her, too. For sure, something was wrong with their father."
