Hollywood veteran DIANE KEATON prefers acting out scripted love stories in movies to her real life relationships, because she knows there won't be any nasty surprises.

The ANNIE HALL actress has dated many of her leading men including AL PACINO, WOODY ALLEN and WARREN BEATTY, but she enjoyed their screen personas more because she knew their relationship would end happily.

Keaton, who is currently dating KEANU REEVES, says, "You know where it's going, and you can just enjoy it for what it is. Real life is complicated. Onscreen you know what the lines are. Everybody's doing what they're supposed to do. He's not gonna surprise you."
