MICHAEL DOUGLAS - DIANDRA DOUGLAS TO HAVE SURROGACY TWINS

MICHAEL DOUGLAS's ex-wife DIANDRA is expecting twins through a surrogate mother - despite being estranged from her fiance ZACHARY HAMPTON BACON III.

Diandra, 45, is thrilled at the surrogacy, after two years of trying to conceive naturally, according to New York's PAGE SIX.

A friend says, "She feels incredibly blessed that someone is willing to carry her children that she could not bring to term.

"She's been seeing fertility doctors all over the country and has tried fertility drugs. This was the last resort, but she is really happy."

But despite the couple's current problems, the friend is convinced they will be able to work through their traumas.

They continue, "They're in couples counselling. She loves him and she's trying to make it work. They're both really excited about having the twins."

Diandra divorced Douglas in 2000, before he went on to marry CATHERINE ZETA-JONES.
