JOHNNY DEPP - DEPP IS A SIGNING STAR

Movie star JOHNNY DEPP has topped a poll of the most generous autograph signers in Hollywood, while CAMERON DIAZ languishes at the bottom as the worst. The survey, conducted by American magazine Autograph Collector, sees GEORGE CLOONEY, known for making merry quips while signing for fans, take second place. But Depp is the champ, even scribbling his name as he was struggling with suitcases at an airport. This is the second time in a row that he has topped the annual autograph rankings. Editor STEVE CYRKIN says, "Many stars become bad signers once fame and fortune hits, but not Depp "He's even signed autographs for crowds at the airport while carrying luggage." But Diaz disappoints fans, even telling them off when they ask for her signature. Cyrkin adds, "She may be a talented actress, but she's persistently a terrible signer. "Instead of just turning down a person's autograph request, she'll lecture them about how dumb autographs are." The top five celebrity signers are: 1. JOHNNY DEPP 2. GEORGE CLOONEY 3. MATT DAMON 4.
