US TV star PATRICK DEMPSEY is set to shock fans on broadcaster BARBARA WALTERS' upcoming pre-Oscars special by revealing he's dyslexic.
The 1980s movie pin-up and SWEET HOME ALABAMA star appears alongside GEORGE CLOONEY, MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY and MARIAH CAREY on the annual special, which airs in America on 1 March (06).
Walters reveals, "He doesn't do cold readings. He tries to get the script in advance so that he can memorise it."
Dempsey has become a major star again thanks to his role as DR DEREK SHEPHERD in hit medical drama GREY'S ANATOMY.
