DAVID GRAY - DAVID GRAY AND MORCHEEBA TO BOOST TOURISM

Chart stars DAVID GRAY and MORCHEEBA have agreed to perform at a free concert in London's TRAFALGAR SQUARE - aimed at boosting tourism and the revamped landmark.

The event on 31 August (03) - lined up by London Mayor KEN LIVINGSTONE - comes two years after the legendary square hosted a concert to mark South Africa Freedom Day, featuring rock giants REM.

More than 10,000 people will be able to attend the show.

Morcheeba singer SKYE EDWARDS says, "After we were asked to do this show, I happened to get off the bus just round the corner from Trafalgar Square and it suddenly dawned on me that it would be an amazing place to do a show."
