BLYTHE DANNER - DANNER'S JOY AT 'IN-LAW' CHRIS MARTIN

BLYTHE DANNER has confirmed her daughter GWYNETH PALTROW and COLDPLAY singer CHRIS MARTIN are married, and she's thrilled with her new "son-in-law".

The 60-year-old actress spent Christmas (03) with pregnant Paltrow, Martin and the singer's family in Devon, England, after their secret December wedding - and she gives the YELLOW rocker her full seal of approval.

Blythe gushes, "I'm thrilled to be a grandmother for the first time. It's going to be a new life for my daughter. She will be shifting all her energy from acting to nurturing this being.

"And Chris is such a dear. So sensitive. When Coldplay appeared at the HOLLYWOOD BOWL last summer (03) he dedicated a song to me. It was about losing BRUCE (her late husband BRUCE PALTROW). About how things wouldn't get better. It was a wonderful surprise."
