THE BOURNE SUPREMACY star MATT DAMON feels "bad" for his pal BRAD PITT, with all of the increased attention he's faced since the meltdown of his marriage to JENNIFER ANISTON.
Damon, who co-starred with Pitt in OCEAN'S ELEVEN and OCEAN'S TWELVE, saw the same attention directed at his longtime friend BEN AFFLECK during his doomed romance with JENNIFER LOPEZ, and he's admits it's a position he'd hate to be in.
He says, "It's got to be tough. Most actors can lead a quiet life if they decide to. I do.
"But Brad is one of those actors you get once every generation who is born to be a star. He's as nice and as regular a guy as there is, but attention follows him everywhere."
Pitt and Aniston announced their separation in January (05).
