SOPHIE DAHL - DAHL'S FRIENDS BLAME MOTHER FOR WEIGHT LOSS

Friends of supermodel SOPHIE DAHL have blamed her alarming weight loss on the stress caused by her mother's wild lifestyle.

Pals of author ROALD DAHL's granddaughter - who collapsed at a New York party recently - have linked her diminishing frame to her intense relationship with mother TESSA, who has battled depression, drugs and alcoholism.

A source tells Britain's DAILY EXPRESS newspaper, "Whenever Sophie's weight goes up or down, you can bet her mother is going through a crisis.

"They're incredibly close, and it's as if Tessa's problems are reflected in her daughter's body.

"It's no coincidence Sophie lost so much weight around the last time her mum went into rehab."
