Two members of goth rockers THE CURE have departed the British group leaving question marks hanging over an upcoming European tour.

Upset keyboard player ROGER O'DONNELL announced his departure yesterday (27MAY05) on his official website, while a fansite dedicated to PERRY BAMONTE has conveyed the same news about the guitarist.

In O'Donnell's posting, he writes, "I am no longer a member of The Cure. It was sad to find out after nearly 20 years the way I did but then I should have expected no less or more."

The keyboard player suggested that relations between himself and Cure founder ROBERT SMITH have been far from good in recent years.

He adds he's embarking on a solo career and hopes to work "in a more relaxed and happy atmosphere than has surrounded the Cure these last couple of years."

Insiders claim Smith's former THE GLOVE and SIOUXSIE + THE BANSHEES bandmate STEVE SEVERIN will join the group on tour this summer (05).
