Scottish actor ALAN CUMMING is to star in six episodes of hit lesbian drama THE L WORD.

The X2 star, 40, will play a party promoter in season three of the racy show, which hits TV screens next year (06).

Cumming will star as BILLIE BLAIKIE, who is hired by PAM GRIER's character KIM PORTER to run her Los Angeles nightclub.
