IGBY GOES DOWN - CULKIN SHRUGS OFF CHILD ACTOR TAG

IGBY GOES DOWN star KIERAN CULKIN has managed to make the transition from child actor to adult star - and it wasn't as difficult as he thought.

The talented actor, brother of HOME ALONE star MACAULAY, was aware of the negative downturn his older sibling's career took and hoped he wouldn't suffer a similar fate.

And as a successful child star himself - albeit not with Macaulay's level of fame - Kieran was aware of the difficulty of shrugging off the stereotype.

He muses, "I don't think that hangs over me very much any more. People are a little more open and prepared to give you a chance. I don't know if that wasn't always the case, but nowadays people don't seem to say, 'Oh, kid actor, that's all he is'.
