TOM CRUISE - CRUISE: 'SPIELBERG IS FAST'

TOM CRUISE has praised legendary director STEVEN SPIELBERG for always knowing exactly what he requires of his actors, so not a second is wasted on set.

Cruise, who has teamed up with Spielberg on MINORITY REPORT and the upcoming WAR OF THE WORLDS remake, was surprised at just how economically the film-maker approaches his craft.

He tells British magazine HOTDOG, "Steven just is fast. Some people think, 'Well I gotta take a lot of time to figure this out.' No.

"We show up on the set and he's deadly accurate in his choices and the direction."
