TOM CRUISE has an ambitious plan to shut down the centre of Tokyo, Japan for a week - for a movie stunt. The movie star, who recently topped Forbes magazine's celebrity power list, touted his idea to the Japanese media while launching his latest blockbuster, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III in Tokyo yesterday (20JUN06). The actor hinted the big-budget movie sequence would be shot for a fourth Mission: Impossible film - by winking at director JJ ABRAMS. He said, "People might not be very happy with the traffic but if they will please be patient and let us have it (downtown Tokyo) for one week, we will have a sequence that will be forever remembered." Cruise and Abrams did the same thing for Mission: Impossible III in Shanghai, China after government officials agreed to shut the city down at night for filming requirements. Cruise recalls, "They gave us huge sections of the city to shoot in and they'd turn on the lights on the city for us."
