RUSSELL CROWE - CROWE. WE.RE MARRYING FOR OUR PARENTS

Hollywood superstar RUSSELL CROWE has revealed his is not marrying for love, but to keep his mum happy.

The GLADIATOR hero made the unromantic statement just two days before his wedding to pretty blonde actress DANIELLE SPENCER, adding that when he first met the former HOME AND AWAY star it wasn't love at first sight either.

Ungallant Russell says, "With the two of us at our ages, we both owed our parents a public marriage. My mum has been hoping for it since I was 16."

Of the couple's first meeting, the A BEAUTIFUL MIND star adds, "It was more like a deep mutual respect, a mutual understanding. I have many, many things I'd like to say about Danielle. I've been thinking about it for a long time, I've known Dani for a long time."

The couple are set to tie the knot on Monday (07APR03).
