SHERYL CROW - CROW RELIED ON HYNDE TO HELP GET OVER OWEN WILSON HEARTBREAK

Rocker SHERYL CROW leaned on best friend, PRETENDERS singer CHRISSIE HYNDE, to help her get over a mid-life crisis, which including being dumped by actor OWEN WILSON.

The singer was shattered after being dumped by the WEDDING CRASHERS star at a time when she was feeling depressed about turning 40 and trying to compete in a youth-driven music market.

Crow recalls, "It felt catastrophic. I was pretty miserable. A dear friend of mine (Hynde) came down and said 'Your life is your life. Music is something you do.'

"So I stopped working. Something the doctor should have ordered to begin with."
