Coxon Backtracks On Blur Return
LATEST: Guitarist GRAHAM COXON has altered his stance on rejoining BLUR just hours after thrilling fans with the news he'd been persuaded to return to the British group.
Yesterday (21OCT04) Coxon - now a solo artist - hinted a full reunion was imminent by declaring producer STEPHEN STREET "will be doing our next Blur album".
But while Coxon admits relations between him and frontman DAMON ALBARN have improved, the musical tensions which contributed to his departure remain.
He says, "Emotionally things are better but professionally things are no different."
Coxon left the PARKLIFE band two years ago (02) because he felt too old to be in a band and had fallen out with Albarn.
