British music mogul SIMON COWELL's classical boy band IL DIVO have stunned chart watchers in America by taking their second album to the top of the album chart.

The four-piece opera-singing group's ANCORA album sold 156,000 copies in its opening week to end JAMIE FOXX and MARY J BLIGE's alternating runs at the top of the Billboard 100.

Country star JOSH TURNER also scored a big hit with his second album, crashing in at number two with YOUR MAN.

Meanwhile, Florida-based rockers YELLOWCARD entered the new chart at number five with LIGHTS + SOUNDS and rap-metal group POD debut at number nine with TESTIFY.
