AMERICAN IDOL judge SIMON COWELL has slammed the recent EUROVISION SONG CONTEST, saying he wouldn't "go near it".
Outspoken Cowell hopes to one day start his own worldwide singing competition, but dislikes the notoriously cheesy European contest - which was won by the Ukraine earlier this month (MAY04).
He blasts, "I wouldn't ever go near the Eurovision Song Contest but that's not to say I wouldn't consider doing a world competition."
The 2004 Eurovision Song Contest was won by Ukraine singer RUSLANA, who impressed voters with her raunchy up-tempo track, WILD DANCE.
