JENNIFER CONNELLY had a heightened sense of fear while making horror movie DARK WATER because she feared director WALTER SALLES was setting off floods in her own home.
The actress plays a terrified mum constantly fighting a sinister flooding in an eerie New York apartment building, and it didn't take much preparation for her to get into her role because she was facing the same problems for real.
She says, "It was very suspicious. Walter Salles, the director, came over to our house for a meeting before we did the film and then he left and a few days later our house flooded.
"There was like a foot of water on the kitchen floor, water coming out of the ceiling, the light fixtures.
"We had it fixed and, like, two weeks later it flooded again."
