JOAN COLLINS - COLLINS: I'M NOT RICH!

Veteran actress JOAN COLLINS is fed up with people assuming she's rich, because she's never made mega-bucks from her career - even when she was on hit TV show DYNASTY.

The British-born star believes people wrongly assume she has amassed a great fortune because of her role as super-rich ALEXIS CARRINGTON in the eighties serial - but Collins reveals she receives no royalties from the show's re-runs, so has to satisfy herself with the meager salary she earnt at the time, unlike today's TV stars.

She rallies, "People do think I'm terribly rich. I'd like to know why. Dynasty is still one of the most popular shows on TV, but I get no royalties.

"The show has made billions, and the actors nothing. When I finished Dynasty I was, for one season, the highest-paid actress on TV. I got $110,000 for ten episodes. You know what JENNIFER ANISTON gets per episode of FRIENDS? Up to $1 million!

"I guess I got used to a certain kind of lifestyle, but actors I've never heard of now command extraordinary amounts. I have to keep on working."
