An ardent female COLDPLAY fan has splashed out a staggering $350,000 (GBP220,000) for the chance to sing with her idols.
The wealthy fan, known only just as CHRISTY, joined frontman CHRIS MARTIN on stage at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN in New York to sing hit IN MY PLACE.
Martin, who is donating the money to charity, instructed the audience, "Treat her like a rock star and cheer madly."
Coldplay spokesman CHRIS LATHAM says, "She wasn't the greatest singer in the world, but it went really well and the audience loved it."
