COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY'S CHRIS TEASED OVER SEXUAL ORIENTATION

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN was subjected to years of torment by school bullies who believed he was gay.

The YELLOW hitmaker - who is enjoying a romance with Hollywood beauty GWYNETH PALTROW - found it increasingly hard to cope with the constant abuse, until he decided to prove the taunts didn't affect him.

He says, "My nicknames at school would generally question my sexuality, which I kind of had a problem with then. But I realised when I was about 16 that it didn't actually matter, then it stopped.

"The thing is there's probably some 14-year old worrying his pants off but there's no point - it doesn't matter."
