COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY TO FINALLY TALK WITH CORBIJN

British rockers COLDPLAY have finally convinced ANTON CORBIJN to direct their next video, after the Dutch film-maker snubbed their past advances.

Corbijn, who has made promos for U2 and NIRVANA, was eventually won over because he loves Coldplay's forthcoming single TALK and was filled with video ideas when he first heard the song.

Corbijn insists he takes no notice of the international profile of a band when he is offered work, because he is far more interested in artistic aesthetics.

He tells MTV, "I have turned down a few previous requests from Coldplay to do a script for their songs, but I liked this song and had an idea straightaway, so that was enough for me to go on. It is always the idea and the song that counts, not the size of the band."
