COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY PLANNING DUET WITH ASHCROFT

Rockers COLDPLAY are planning to duet with former THE VERVE frontman RICHARD ASHCROFT at the London Live 8 concert this weekend (02JUL05).

Frontman CHRIS MARTIN and Ashcroft will sing The Verve's biggest hit BITTER SWEET SYMPHONY at the star-studded gig in the British capital's Hyde Park.

A source says, "Chris is a huge fan of Ashcroft's and they have become good friends.

"It is such an uplifting, moving song and the crowd will love it. They rehearsed ahead of Coldplay's Crystal Palace (London venue) gig on Monday (27JUL05) and it sounded great."
