COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY PLAN TO 'CHANGE THE FACE OF POP'

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN hopes his band will achieve a tough mission through its success - changing the face of pop.

British singer Martin, currently dating OSCAR-winning actress GWYNETH PALTROW, says he's annoyed with just how dull a lot of today's music has become - and it's something he hopes to change.

He says, "Mainstream pop culture is so awful and so bland and so packaged. Our goal is to change the mainstream. We don't want to just keep ourselves a secret.

"We want to fight to have sincere music be the main thing again."
