COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY OFFER HELP TO SAVE CHANNEL

Generous rockers COLDPLAY are pledging to help an ailing Australian cable TV station - by recording an intimate gig especially for the music channel.

Only 100 competition winners will be invited to the concert, and guests - who will be seated around the band on cushions - can ask the British group questions during the two-hour show in Sydney.

The band are scheduled to perform on a four-date tour of Australia before frontman CHRIS MARTIN's chart-toppers headline a festival at idyllic holiday destination Byron Bay.
