COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY DITCH SONG BECAUSE IT OFFENDS GWYNETH

COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN has abandoned the band's live favourite GREEN EYES - because it is about the girlfriend he had before current beau GWYNETH PALTROW.

Chris and Gwyneth have been an item since last year (02) and the track about a former love has been replaced in Coldplay's live set by new song MOSES, which the British singer has written about his love for the SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE beauty.

Defending his decision to scrap Green Eyes, Martin told the 150-strong audience at an Australian concert on Wednesday (16JUL03), "It's not about the right person. It's like an old pair of trousers, it doesn't fit."
