The postponed release of COLDPLAY's next album is expected to seriously dent record company EMI's profits.
CHRIS MARTIN's group have delayed the airing of their follow-up to A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD until after their label's current financial year ends (MAR05) - affecting the music giant's revenue.
EMI already suffered from lower than expected album sales last month (JAN05) and sales are unlikely to improve during the next two months (FEB-MAR05).
London analysts had predicted profits of $323 million (GBP170 million), but have recently revised their estimate to $262.2 million (GBP138,000).
