COLDPLAY have so much documentary footage of themselves recording in studios around the world they hope to release a DVD - but frontman CHRIS MARTIN fears it's so boring the film will only last five minutes.

The British rockers, who release eagerly-awaited third album X+Y next month (JUN05), are concerned their footage resembles THE BEATLES' rockumentary LET IT BE, which saw the Fab Four during some legendarily tense recording sessions.

Martin says, "We've been documenting stuff from the beginning.

"There's a vault in London with 500 hours of us in the studio. One day we'll be able to whittle it down to a five minute DVD.

"We could make our own Let It Be.

"In fact, it was really depressing. I remember a bit where GEORGE (HARRISON) says to PAUL (McCARTNEY), 'I'll play whatever you want to play, or I won't play anything at all if it'll make you happy.'

"Right at the beginning of the album (X+Y) GUY (CHAMBERS, Coldplay guitarist) said exactly the same thing to me.

"I remember thinking, 'This album's going wrong.' That was before we started again."
