COLDPLAY - COLDPLAY CHOOSE FANS OVER BEYONCE FOR NEW VIDEO

British rockers COLDPLAY thrilled fans at their British gig on Saturday (04JUL05) by asking the entire audience to star in the video for their forthcoming single FIX YOU.

The YELLOW stars initially wanted R+B beauty BEYONCE KNOWLES to appear in the promo, because they feared they are naturally disadvantaged because there are no women in the group.

But they surprised the crowd at their 95-minute set at the Reebok Stadium in Lancashire, England by announcing TV cameras were at the venue to shoot the music video.

Frontman CHRIS MARTIN told the audience, "I think we've got the best fans in the universe, so we want you to be extras for our next video Fix You. We're going to play it twice for the cameras, so go nuts."
